Project Description:
USLI designs, builds, and flys a launch vehicle with a unique payload mission at NASA's annual competition. The mission of the 2021-22 USLI team is to launch a rocket to within 200 ft. of the selected target altitude, to safely recover the launch vehicle with minimal damage to allow a relaunch on the same day, and to design a payload capable of autonomously locating the launch vehicle after landing without the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking.
