Project Description:
Our project involves using aerial LIDAR data to accurately count and distinguish individual tree crowns within a forest. The tree segmentation method was developed by Oregon State University Professor Bogdan Strimbu. Our project aims to implement the Professor Strimbu's algorithm into an easy to use open-source QGIS plugin.
