College of Engineering Unit:
Team Phone Triage has been formed to create a standardized workflow for patients calling into the Samaritan Health Service (SHS) clinics to ensure quality care for the patients needs. The team will be reducing unnecessary delay of care and helping the patients reach the correct clinic for their specified symptoms. Specifically The team will be working with the clinics' Red Phone systems that correspond with calls coming from the call center. The team will be standardizing the process by collecting relevant data into a database that will then be used to create a simulation of the system. These measures will help SHS make further adjustments to their procedures in order to help their patients receive good quality and efficient care.
