Project Description:

Oregon State University’s High Altitude Liquid Engine (HALE) team is a project among one of the few competitive universities within the United States to design, test, and fabricate a rocket using a liquid engine based system to give students hands-on experience in the aerospace industry. The overarching goal of HALE’s competition is to be the first to reach the Karman line 100 km above earth’s surface with a single stage liquid bi-propellant rocket at the collegiate level. The first college to be able to do this will win one million dollars.
