Project Description:

With constraints of a 1 ft^3 cube, the team is tasked with filtering unclean water to something drinkable. The project measures its success by the system's ability to meet water specifications including: reducing turbidity; reducing viral and bacterial concentrations; successfully chlorinating water to specific requirements; maintaining a drinkable pH. The main end goal of the project is to kickstart a new OSU Chem E Cube club, where club members would continue research and expand on work of this capstone filtration system, leading to hands-on learning on how to treat water and how water treatment may benefit many areas globally.
