Project Description:

The Audiolux is a product designed to visualize live music and other performing arts on LED strips, enabling the deaf and hard of hearing to better participate in these events. It can use an built-in microphone to pick up accoustic audio, or a 3.5mm jack as a source of audio signal input. The signal is sampled and analyzed for parameters like volume, dominant frequency, and frequency spread. These parameters are then used to create different patterns on the LED strip, by changing LED pixel location, brightness, and color. Different patterns can be selected by the user, to create varying displays from the same music.
