Project Description:

The main objective of Project Lena is to design a water treatment plant that will treat surface water from the Snake River in Idaho. The community of Lena is located approximately 10 miles away from the Snake River, which is now being utilized as a water source due to groundwater being insufficient for the community’s needs. The treated water must meet the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Idaho Department Environmental Quality (DEQ) regulations and standards. Further criteria and issues of concern have been presented by the client regarding site-specific requirements and the quality of water being sourced from the Snake River.
