HART
Project Description:

The purpose of the High Altitude Rocket Team (HART) is a capstone design project where mechanical engineering (ME) students are tasked with building a two-stage rocket, complete with electronic deployment of the second stage and recovery system. The purpose of the ME Avionics(AV) sub-team is to have students specialize in the electronic sections of the rocket. We are also involved in the design and construction of the AV bays that will hold all of the electronics that will be able to send telemetry back to a student-made base station. The data that is transferred back and saved on the rocket can be used for research and furthering our team’s understanding of rocketry.
