Project Description:

Our project aims to revolutionize morphometric measurement through the integration of stereo video camera (SVC) systems with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), specifically addressing the challenges faced in obtaining precise measurements remotely. Traditional methods have limitations such as requiring precise altitude knowledge, objects needing to be orthogonal to the camera, and restrictions on object placement. Leveraging advancements in stereo-vision and photogrammetry, our system offers highly accurate measurements even for smaller objects, making it ideal for applications in wildlife monitoring, aquaculture, agriculture, and more. By combining cutting-edge technology with ethical considerations for animal welfare and environmental impact, we're paving the way for non-invasive, high-precision morphometric analysis in various fields.
