Project Description:
GPU-Parallelized Irradiation Environment Simulator (G-PIES) is a simulation software which models the degradation of a single material inside of a nuclear reactor. The current supported physical model is Cluster Dynamics. This model illustrates how particle defects can cluster within a material, eventually merging, traversing, or annihilating to create more significant defects within the material. The solution is currently parallelized for the NVIDIA GPU architecture, modeling the growth of defect clusters within a material for time spans that can range from seconds to years.
