Project Description:

The Crestop Well supplies drinking water to residents in the Lakedale Utility District. Due to aesthetic issues of fixture staining, taste, and odor caused by iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide, Crestop Well operates only on a seasonal basis to supplement drinking water supply from other District Wells. To anticipate increased water demand for a growing population, the District requests the design of a system to treat manganese, iron, and hydrogen sulfide from the well so the water can be distributed on a continuous basis at 900 gpm. The design proposed has been designed to treat contaminant concentrations to levels below the secondary maximum contaminant levels (SMCLs) and improve the water quality for residents.
