Project Description:

Softstar, a shoe company located in Philomath, Oregon, has tasked us to create a solution for its current storage system that its zund operators work in. The zund is a cutting machine that utilizes a CNC razor to precisely cut plonge and soling materials for the production of shoes. The current storage system lacks clear separation of plonge materials and proper positioning of soling materials. Over the course of this project our team worked with Softstar to generate a solution. Through several concept iterations and utilitzing the 5S principles we were able to create a solution that fits their needs. The 5S principles are sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain.
