College of Engineering Unit:
The Mill City Park Design has been requested by the client to provide a safe, visually pleasing, and economical solution for pedestrian and maintenance access. The project location is in Mill City, Oregon, 30 miles west of Salem. The project presented to Team MC3 is to provide access to the existing pump station and access to the riverside using a paved path. The primary goals and scope for the Mill City Project prepared by the team are focused on phase 2 of the construction plan while incorporating water resource considerations from phase 1. Phase 2 is primarily focused on the pedestrian path, a water feature, and truck access to the pump house and river side. Within the scope lies water management, transportation and geotechnical considerations. Focuses for this project include water management, road/path design, and retaining wall structures.
