Project Description:
Our project assists in the characterization of lithium polymer cells. Our project is composed of two main components. The first component is the automation scripts. These scripts are written in the standard commands for programmable instruments (SCPI) protocol. These scripts control test equipment to obtain state of charge (SOC) data from battery cells and create graphs with this data in order to obtain a visual output of the SOC data. The second component of our project is the low voltage interface and battery emulator PCBs. The battery emulator provides pseudo-data for up to 14 cells. The low voltage interface connects to the battery emulator or to a multi-cell battery.
