Project Description:

TrueYou seeks to fit into a niche market of drug contraceptives of a transdermal patch. TrueYou deviates from the current market patches by introducing microneedles. The prototypes outlined and tested concluded that a microneedle patch design with a pull tab and inclusive coloring on the patch has viability into becoming a product that out-competes its competitors. The introduction of microneedles decreases the amount of time that the patch needs to be worn by the user, and will decrease the amount of overall irritation caused by contact dermatitis. Current market patches do not use hypoallergenic adhesives, but TrueYou has the capability of doing so because of the microneedle design. TrueYou also sits in a market with a $61.91 Million Net Present Value. Further testing and prototyping on the drug delivery needs to be addressed before TrueYou can officially be entertained as a viable product on the market.
