Sawmill Operations
Sawmill Operations
Gain hands-on experience in various parts of the mill and be responsible for collecting data, performing analysis, and providing recommendations for manufacturing improvement projects in areas of continuous improvement and optimization.
Maintenance Technician
Work to ensure the safe maintenance, repair, or replacement of equipment and systems, and be responsible for providing recommendations for maintenance improvement projects to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
Capital Projects/Process Controls
Work with Interfor’s Capital Projects team to provide technical expertise in machine automation, controls, and electrical systems, and drive continuous improvement in mechanical and electrical systems and process controls to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
Environmental, Health & Safety
Gain exposure to various areas of environmental, health & safety and work with Interfor’s site leadership to develop and assist with EHS initiatives and projects.
Woodlands Operations
Procurement (US Operations)
Work with Interfor’s Foresters to assist in wood procurement, including providing support for log procurement activities at the sawmill, and ensuring our logging operations are achieving quality standards.
Planning Assistant (BC Operations)
Work with our Interior Woodlands team on a variety of timber planning duties, including assisting with the operational planning and implementation of harvesting and road construction programs relating to Interfor’s various forest tenures in BC.
Silviculture Assistant (BC Operations)
Work in the office and remote camps with our Coastal Woodlands team to assist with tree planting supervision, post-harvest prescriptions, silviculture surveys, geospatial database updates, and other silviculture activities.

Sales & Marketing/Logistics
Responsible for providing internal and external customer service, as well as order file management, inventory maintenance, and other sales and logistics related administration functions for your assigned markets or mills.
Human Resources
Gain exposure to various areas of HR within corporate and operationally, supporting HR projects and initiatives across the region, and assisting with full-cycle recruiting.
Accounting
Responsible for preparing general accounting and accounts payable entries, assembling financial management reports and statements, and ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions according to accepted policies and procedures.
