AKS is not your typical civil engineering firm. We’ve done away with the typical silos created by corporate profit centers and rigid departments. Instead, AKS is organized around multidisciplinary project teams. We function as one company and feel more like a family. Recognized again in 2021 as a Top Workplace in Oregon/SW Washington, AKS is celebrating 25 years and has grown to over 280 people in four offices. With a focus on finding the right solution for the client, AKS provides civil engineering, land use planning, surveying, water resources, forestry/forest engineering, consulting arborist, natural resources, construction support, GIS, and landscape architecture services. This unique combination of services under one roof has allowed AKS to provide expertise on a range of project types, including industrial, commercial, residential, and municipal work.

Preferred skills for all positions include:

Civil engineer and survey office technicians:

• AutoCAD/Civil 3D proficiency
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Office 365, especially Word and Excel

Field survey technicians 

• Oregon/SW Washington driver's license
• Some experience or training in land surveying preferred, but a background in forestry, construction, wildland fire fighting, or farm-related work will be considered.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Desire to work outside in varied terrain and weather conditions
