Project Description:

This presentation summarizes the reevaluation of historic data from seven "dry" oil and gas exploration wells drilled off the Oregon coast in the mid 1960s before the area was closed to additional drilling by the Nixon Administration. The research addresses whether offshore aquifers along an active plate margin can be considered a viable option for developing or storing water supplies for growing communities along the Oregon Coast.

This project presenter is available for live video chat on Sept. 1, 2020 from 1:00 - 2:45 p.m. PDT.
