CBEE School Head and Professor
James and Shirley Kuse Chair
in Chemical Engineering
The 2020-2021 graduating class in Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering is the definition of perseverance. Since March of 2020 you have continued to work hard and push forward through multiple changes and challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of letting a world-wide virus define you, you have excelled and defined what success looks like. On behalf of the faculty, staff, and fellow students, I want to thank all of our graduating students. Your hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance have brought you here, to the threshold of new lives and new professional identities as graduate engineers. As you move forward feel confident that there is nothing you cannot accomplish. Remember what you have done, and what you can do, to benefit not just yourselves, your families, and your employers – but also your communities, your colleagues, your nation, your world. Congratulations CBEE graduates….and now Oregon State Alums! Go Beavs!
